In the past, initiation into a Mystery School required traveling in person to an associated Temple or center. Today, advancements in technology have made it possible to form connections in new ways, vastly expanding membership opportunities to include a global community. Instruction in the Mahakranti School is carried out through email lessons. Progress through the lessons and degrees is entirely determined by the student's own motivation: lessons are designed to be sent out monthly, but are not emailed until the student confirms having completed the previous lesson and any work it may have contained. Some months, lessons will not contain any assignments at all but only general suggestions; other months (especially in the first year) will contain extremely time-sensitive tasks which, for astrologial reasons, must be completed within a strict time period, or else the student may have to wait up to six months for the same conditions to recur. The School is sensitive to its students' busy schedules and aims to keep required work to a minimum, but nonetheless it should be expected that membership will be accompanied by a reasonable degree of work and dedication. Students are free to leave at any time, and no further contact will be attempted, although former students are always welcome to apply for readmission.
